A husband & wife team with a passion for interior design, renovation, entrepreneurship, traveling, family and faith. Joe works as a registered nurse and Hanan works in real estate.

For many years we dreamed, we dreamed and we dreamed of owning a little piece of earth in Lake Tahoe. Bay Area natives, we both had beautiful memories of Lake Tahoe exploration growing up and wanted to have a place of our own to share with our children. A place to unplug, to set out in nature and hear the call of the wild. A place to connect with family and friends, enjoy written words curled up on the sofa, afternoon soaks at the lake, laughter around the fireplace and the sound of vinyl in a woodsy room.

In 2020, our dreams would come to fruition after years of dreaming and searching. We found these sweet little cabins that were in desperate need of some TLC. We were in the middle of the pandemic homeschooling our children when Joe’s hospital was closed unexpectedly from the Glass Fire and suddenly we had this opportunity to relocate and renovate these cabins.

There is a word in Arabic (Hanan is Moroccan) … “maktoub”. The word means that everything is destined and written. The how, the when and where has already been planned. With patience, it will come provided we put the efforts needed and that is what we did. We rolled up our sleeves and got to work.
